Dr. Julieta Vargas is a compassionate veterinarian who believes that caring for animals is more than a profession—it is her life’s purpose. With extensive experience in emergency and critical care, surgery, and intensive patient management, she brings a unique combination of advanced medical knowledge, dedication, and genuine compassion to every patient she treats.
Originally from Colombia, Dr. Vargas built her career through years of hands-on experience in emergency and critical care, including advanced training in ICU medicine, anesthesia, surgery, and life-saving procedures. After completing the rigorous ECFVG certification process, she became a licensed veterinarian in Florida and has continued to grow her expertise in emergency medicine and critical care.
Dr. Vargas is the owner of WeCare Animal Hospital and also works as an emergency veterinarian, allowing her to care for pets in both primary and critical-care settings. She is especially passionate about helping families navigate difficult moments and providing their pets with the highest level of care, compassion, and dignity.
Beyond veterinary medicine, Dr. Vargas believes in living with purpose, practicing gratitude, and finding happiness in the present moment. She is guided by the belief that while we cannot control everything that happens in life, we can always choose how we respond and how much we care. Her greatest joy is knowing that, through her work, she can make a meaningful difference in the lives of animals and the families who love them.
Dr. Vargas is proud to welcome every patient and family to WeCare Animal Hospital, where her goal is simple: to care for every pet as if they were her own.
Alejandro Vargas
Co-Owner & Managing Director
Originally from Colombia, Alejandro brings over 20 years of experience in hotel management, leadership, revenue optimization, sales, and team development to WeCare Animal Hospital. His career has always centered around creating exceptional experiences, building strong relationships, and bringing people together.
His passion for veterinary medicine, however, began with a very special connection—Buti, the beloved pet who ultimately brought Alejandro and Dr. Vargas together, along with Bruno and Coco. That experience opened the door to a new passion and a deeper appreciation for the special bond between people and their pets.
Today, Alejandro combines his business and hospitality experience with his genuine love for animals to help lead WeCare Animal Hospital. His goal is to create a welcoming and caring environment where every pet is treated like family and every client feels heard, valued, and confident in the care their pet receives.
